Fotona Clinical Result 1

Laser & Advanced Treatments
Four dimensions. Full-face rejuvenation. Naturally refreshed.
Fotona describes Fotona4D® Full Face as a non-surgical, multi-mode laser approach that combines Er:YAG and Nd:YAG wavelengths. The protocol can be customized to support facial-rejuvenation goals involving skin texture, fine lines, firmness and overall complexion. A consultation is required to determine suitability and create an individualized plan.
Fotona4D® Full Face is a comprehensive, non-surgical facial-rejuvenation approach designed to address multiple visible signs of aging across the face rather than a single isolated concern. Fotona describes the protocol as combining Er:YAG and Nd:YAG laser technology in four complementary modes: SMOOTH®, FRAC3®, PIANO® and SupErficial™. Each mode is used differently and at a different tissue level. Together, they can be selected to support collagen-remodeling goals and improve the appearance of skin texture, fine lines, firmness and overall complexion.
Changes in skin texture, elasticity, facial contours and the appearance of fine lines often occur in more than one area at a time. A full-face plan considers the cheeks, lower face, jawline, mouth area and skin surface as part of an overall assessment. This approach may suit patients who want natural-looking, comprehensive rejuvenation rather than focusing only on one line or one treatment area. Your provider will recommend an individualized plan after evaluating your goals and skin.
Fotona describes four treatment modes that may be combined in the Fotona4D® protocol: • SMOOTH® / SmoothLiftin™: an intraoral Er:YAG step performed inside the mouth. • FRAC3®: a fractional Nd:YAG mode used as part of a skin-rejuvenation plan. • PIANO®: a long-pulse Nd:YAG mode designed for controlled bulk heating. • SupErficial™: an Er:YAG surface-refinement step. The modes are not a fixed prescription. Their use, sequence and settings are chosen by the treating provider according to the individual assessment.
SmoothLiftin™ is a distinctive component of the Fotona4D® concept because it is performed inside the mouth rather than only on the external skin surface. Fotona describes controlled Er:YAG energy being used intraorally as part of a plan that may address the mid-face, lower face, nasolabial and perioral areas. Whether this step is appropriate depends on your oral health, medical history, anatomy and treatment goals.
Fotona describes FRAC3® as a fractional Nd:YAG mode that can be incorporated into its facial-rejuvenation protocols. It is intended to complement other stages by addressing deeper skin-rejuvenation goals. Treatment settings are selected by the provider based on the patient's skin characteristics, concerns and clinical assessment.
PIANO® is a long-pulse Nd:YAG mode that Fotona describes as providing controlled bulk heating. In a full-face plan, it may be used where the goal is to support the appearance of firmness and collagen remodeling. Patients may feel progressive warmth during this stage; comfort measures and settings are individualized.
SupErficial™ is an Er:YAG step focused on the visible surface of the skin. Fotona describes it as a light peel or surface-refinement step that may help address texture and complexion goals. The intensity of resurfacing, expected redness and aftercare are customized to the patient's skin and selected plan.
Following an assessment, a Fotona4D® Full Face plan may be discussed for concerns such as the appearance of fine lines, mild laxity, reduced firmness, uneven texture, dull-looking skin, facial contours and the nasolabial or perioral area. The goal is to support a refreshed, natural-looking appearance rather than to change facial features. Individual suitability and response vary.
Fotona4D® and injectable treatments address facial-aging concerns in different ways. Neuromodulators such as Botox are used to temporarily reduce selected muscle activity, while dermal fillers can add or restore volume in certain areas. Fotona4D® uses laser energy in a multi-mode protocol rather than injections. These options are not necessarily substitutes. Depending on anatomy and goals, a provider may recommend one approach or discuss how different treatments can complement one another.
Recovery varies with the treatment modes, settings, skin response and intensity of the surface-refinement step. Temporary redness, warmth, sensitivity, mild swelling, dryness or light flaking can occur. Your provider will give individualized aftercare guidance; sun protection and following skincare instructions are especially important after laser treatment. Some changes may be noticed early, while collagen-remodeling processes develop gradually over subsequent weeks and months. The recommended number and frequency of treatments depend on factors such as skin condition, prior treatments and aesthetic goals. Results vary and are not guaranteed.
Fotona4D® Full Face may be considered by adults seeking non-surgical, comprehensive facial rejuvenation. A good plan begins with a clinical review of skin condition, medical history, medications, prior procedures and treatment goals. Laser treatments are not appropriate for everyone; a qualified provider must determine candidacy and discuss risks, recovery and alternatives.
At Dr Tam Med Spa Clinic in Garden Grove, California, treatment planning is personalized around facial anatomy, skin condition, concerns and goals. During a consultation, our team can discuss whether Fotona4D® Full Face may be appropriate, the treatment components that may be considered and the aftercare needed for your plan. Fotona4D® is non-surgical and does not provide the same degree of correction as surgical lifting procedures.
