How Thermage FLX works?
Thermage FLX® uses radiofrequency energy to safely heat deeper layers of the skin while helping protect the skin's surface. During treatment, controlled thermal energy is delivered into collagen-rich tissue. This heating causes an immediate response in existing collagen while initiating a longer-term remodeling process. Over time, the body's natural response supports the formation and reorganization of collagen, which may gradually improve the appearance of skin firmness, texture, and laxity. Unlike injectable treatments, Thermage FLX® does not add volume or temporarily relax facial muscles. Its primary focus is supporting the skin's underlying collagen structure.
What Areas Can Thermage FLX® Treat?
Thermage FLX® can be used on several areas of the face and body where skin laxity, wrinkles, or loss of firmness are concerns. The official Thermage site states that most treatments take about 30–60 minutes depending on the area. There is typically little to no downtime; temporary redness or swelling can occur. Some people notice an initial tightening effect, with further visible changes potentially developing over the next 2–6 months as collagen remodeling occurs. Individual results vary.

Because Thermage FLX® is non-invasive, there are no surgical incisions or injectable fillers involved.
When Will You See Thermage FLX® Results?+
Some patients may notice an initial improvement in the appearance of skin firmness after treatment. However, an important part of the Thermage FLX® process is gradual collagen remodeling. As the body's natural collagen response continues, improvements may become more noticeable over the following months. The degree and duration of improvement vary depending on age, skin condition, treatment area, lifestyle, individual collagen response, and other factors.
