Astiva Health Members: How to Check Your Massage Benefit at Dr Tam Med Spa

Dr Tam Med Spa Clinic works with eligible Astiva Health members. If you are age 65 or older and enrolled in an Astiva Medicare Advantage plan, our team can help check whether your individual plan includes an eligible massage benefit before you schedule. Medicare eligibility and benefits vary, so this guide is not a guarantee of coverage.

Astiva offers more than one Medicare Advantage plan, and benefits can differ by plan, service area and calendar year. Astiva’s supplemental-benefit page describes routine acupuncture and therapeutic massage within a broader benefit category. Dr Tam Med Spa offers massage services only; we do not provide acupuncture. The annual number of massage sessions available to you, cost sharing, provider-network rules and rollover provisions depend on your specific plan documents.

There is no single number of massage visits that applies to every Astiva member. Your plan determines how many eligible massage sessions may be available during the plan year, and some plans count massage within a combined allowance for other covered wellness services. Services already used may affect the remaining balance. Before each appointment, our team can help verify your current yearly allowance, how the plan counts a session and how many eligible massage sessions remain.

Before booking an insurance-covered visit, we will confirm the plan shown on your current member card, active eligibility, whether the requested service is included, available benefit allowance, applicable copay or member cost, and whether referral or prior authorization requirements apply. We will also confirm any network requirement for the service.

Please have your current Astiva member ID card, plan name, date of birth and a phone number where we can reach you. For your privacy, do not send member ID numbers or health details through a public website form. Call our clinic or bring your card to your visit so we can help with verification.

If your benefit is verified and the service is appropriate, our team will help you schedule a personalized massage experience. Let us know about your comfort preferences, recent procedures, injuries, skin concerns, medications and other relevant health information so the service can be tailored appropriately.
